Finding a good spot to store water in an 80 Series Landcruiser can be difficult at the best of times. You don’t want to sacrifice usable cabin space, but you also want to keep the weight of the water down as low as possible, so you don’t adversely affect the vehicle off-road. The team here at Kinsela’s Kustoms banded together and came up with what we believe to be the ultimate solution, introducing our ‘80 Series Landcruiser 40L Bolt-In Water Tank Kit!’
Our bolt-in kit mounts where the factory spare wheel/crossmember is originally mounted. As many of you know, the first thing us 4wders do is remove the spare wheel from under the vehicle, which leaves a perfect cavity to mount a water tank.
Using our simple bolt in kit, the factory spare wheel crossmember will be replaced with our Australian made water tank.
The kit comes with everything required including:
- 40L Water Tank
- All Brackets and mounting hardware
- Remote Reservoir Shock mounts built in (as finding a good spot to mount these in the rear of 80’s is notoriously difficult)
- Mounting Panel for 12v water pump
- 12v 6L/min pump included
These water tanks are easy to fill, Australian made and don’t interfere with the departure angle of your wagon. The perfect solution for those who want greater water carrying capabilities without the sacrifice of space.
Depending on your exhaust setup, particularly petrols the tank may interfere and the tail of the exhaust will need to be re routed around the corner of the tank
