We have come up with a solution to a hidden problem in all 79s with long shocks;
Everyone knows if you put long shocks in the front the tailshaft will foul on the swaybar.
The solution on older cruisers has always been to simply space the swaybar down.
This can not be done on a 79 as the radius arms will then hit the swaybar on uptravel bending the swaybar drop brackets or the chassis mounts (we have seen both happen in some cases)
Fitting a 25mm swaybar spacer will cause the swaybar to hit the arms on full uptravel,
with a 25mm swaybar spacer fitted the total open length of the shock when the tailshaft starts to rub is 615mm.
This is where our swaybar comes in, providing adequate clearance for the front tailshaft and swaybar with long shocks while not needing spacers so you don't lose any uptravel.
It fits with the factory dpf setup still in place.
