If you own an 80/105 Series Landcruiser and suffer from heavy steering, a leaking steering box or worse, have a cracked chassis, then we have the ULTIMATE solution for you. Introducing the Kinsela’s Kustoms Landcruiser to GU Patrol steering box upgrade and conversion kit. This will be the only steering upgrade you’ll need for your Landcruiser, and trust us when we say, you won’t know yourself once you’ve fitted one of our kits.

Now don’t get us wrong, the 80 / 105 Series Landcruiser platform is bulletproof, but there are a few weaknesses, and the factory steering box is one of them. They leak, struggle to keep steering light when you’re running larger tyres, are prone to snapping / twisting output shafts, and can even cause chassis cracking around the mount.

The Kinsela’s Kustoms kit provides you everything you need* to adapt a genuine Nissan GU Patrol steering box into your Landcruiser. The kit includes:

  • Comprehensive fitting instructions
  • Inner and outer chassis fish plates (brace kit)
  • Crush tubes
  • Power steering fitting adapters
  • Steering damper relocation bracket
  • Longer bolts/hardware
  • Tapered sleeve for the GU Pitman arm so you can retain factory 80/105 series tie rod ends

The kit is comprehensive and resolves all issues you’ve no-doubt faced with your current underwhelming steering setup.

Fitting the steering damper – You can do a few things to mount the damper depending on what brand/ size mount etc you run. You can drill out the taper in the tie rod end and run a bolt with a couple of washers but some aftermarket dampers may foul running from the factory point on the drag link now that it is below the rod. if so, a u bolt clamp style will be necessary. We do not provide these but can be sourced from most 4wd shops. A bracket has been provided to offset the factory chassis mount to run the u bolt clamp down the bar a little and get it away from the threads on the rod end.

* GU Steering box will need to be sourced by you.

*some steering damper set ups may foul depending on size/brand. U bolt style clamp that fits your drag link may be necessary - this is not included
